The African Civil Society Organization (CSO) sector has been heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, not only as first-line responders dealing with all the social challenges that the pandemic has caused but also as organizations struggling to survive this crisis.

EPIC-Africa, in partnership with @AfricanNGOs has released The Impact of COVID-19 on African CSOs based on a survey of more than 1000 CSOs from CSOs in 44 African countries conducted between April 29 and May 15, 2020. The report offers a rare snapshot of the impact of COVID-19 on African CSOs, as well as the myriad ways they have responded. It also highlights opportunities that have emerged and crucial challenges which need to be addressed to support the recovery and sustainability of the sector.
